Phillips County will be accepting sealed bids for a 56,000 square-foot (+/- 1.29-acre) property in Amherst for a minimum bid of $50,000 without contingencies and being sold as-is. The property consists of a 5,500 square-foot Quonset building, a 1,200 square-foot building, a 1,000-gallon propane tank and a domestic well. The well on this property also serves two residential properties in Amherst, and the expectation for the successful bidder is to continue to allow these properties to get water at a reasonable rate for as long as the well is usable in its present state of repair. Appointments to view the property can be made by calling the Administration office at 970-854-3778. Bids are to be sent to Phillips County Commissioners, 221 S. Interocean Ave., Holyoke, CO 80734 and must be received by 4:30 p.m. on March 28, 2025. Bids will be considered by the commissioners at their meeting on March 31, 2025. Phillips County reserves the right to refuse or reject any and all bids.
